Palibex grows by more than 14% in 2025

express pallet delivery Spain - palibex

Palibex closed 2025 with 1,121,063 pallets coordinated, 141,158 more than in 2024, representing growth of over 14% year on year. In some regions, growth reached 25%, driven by the progressive rollout of regional coordination centres.

During the final quarter of 2025, Palibex recorded historic volume peaks and is now able to handle daily surges of more than 6,000 pallets. This has been made possible by the decentralisation of its operating model, which has increased operational capacity by up to 50%.

“By incorporating new routes and coordination centres, we can continue growing without a defined ceiling. We are naturally shifting from peak volumes to higher average volumes, and we are now working towards our next milestone: reaching 10,000 pallets per day,” says CEO Jaime Colsa.

According to Colsa, these results confirm the flexibility of the operating model implemented in recent years and the effectiveness of forward planning, which allows the company to anticipate demand peaks — such as the Christmas campaign — with the right resources in place.

As the logistics sector faces increasing difficulties in securing delivery resources, Palibex has strengthened its Network by adjusting the number of franchisees in each area based on pallet volumes and progressively increasing provincial capacity.

“Our true strength lies in having the best distribution Network,” says Colsa. “We build capacity first — the pallets follow.” This strategy prioritises service quality and long-term Network stability, with particular focus on supporting delivery professionals.

The company also highlights the role of collaborative logistics, enabling franchisees to work together effectively despite higher volumes and increasing variability between average and peak demand.

Palibex has called on public institutions to implement measures addressing the shortage of drivers, vehicles and generational renewal in the transport sector. The company will contribute through training initiatives and sector meetings aimed at supporting transport professionals.

New projects for 2026: Andalusia, Valencia and Galicia

In 2026, Palibex will continue consolidating its decentralised model, with a particular focus on Andalusia, Valencia and Galicia, where the Network is about to incorporate its seventh franchisee.

“We are not only looking to expand our Network, but also to create proximity hubs that help franchisees reduce costs and improve competitiveness in short- and medium-haul flows,” explains Managing Director María Luisa Romero.

These coordination centres strengthen linehaul and distribution capacity while boosting local traffic development, resulting in a closer, more efficient and competitive Network.

Following the success of previous centres in Barcelona and Valladolid, Palibex is now making a strong investment in Andalusia to enhance service coverage and open new routes.

The Network has also continued incorporating second franchisees in key provinces to improve service quality and increase profitability. Ten provinces now operate with more than one franchisee, representing nearly 20% of the total Network.

“We are reviewing each territory to maximise direct routes and provide commercial advantages derived from shorter transit times and lower distribution costs,” says Romero. New incorporations are always coordinated with existing franchisees to ensure they have the necessary resources to maintain Palibex’s quality standards.

Focus on quality and sustainability

Maintaining high quality standards is as important as volume growth, particularly during peak periods. In the express pallet sector, service reliability remains the key differentiating factor.

Palibex has reinforced its Quality team and launched a new real-time incident management portal to ensure continuous Network monitoring, while maintaining the personalised service that defines the company.

A new incident management system differentiates between urgent operational issues and more technical or training-related cases, assigning them to specialised teams to improve response time and efficiency.

Sustainability also remains a core priority. Through the Lean & Green initiative, Palibex aims to reduce its carbon footprint by 20% within five years. Measures include more direct routes, higher vehicle load factors and increased use of longer and heavier vehicle combinations (LHVs).
