Palibex Adds Five Mega Trucks to Its Fleet
The express freight network continues to improve efficiency and reduce its carbon footprint
Optimizing resources by increasing load capacity, lowering route costs, and cutting carbon emissions —around 15% with mega trucks and up to 30% with duo trailers— are the main benefits driving the use of Euro Modular Vehicles (EMVs) across the Palibex network.
Between March and April, five mega trucks were added to the following routes: Ruta de la Plata (Valladolid–Mérida–Seville), Zaragoza–Madrid, Barcelona–Madrid, and Seville–Madrid. A duo trailer will soon be added to the Madrid–A Coruña route.
Palibex already operates EMVs on the Valencia–Madrid, Valladolid–Madrid, and Seville–Barcelona–Granada routes. The network is also deploying mega trucks to strengthen freight flows from coordination centers, where line-haul costs can be reduced by 15% to 40%.
According to Palibex, these large-capacity vehicles not only increase franchisee profitability but also improve working conditions for drivers, offering enhanced safety, faster operations, and better rest times.
