Two Trucks Intervened by Photographers Jesús Madriñán and Luciana Demichelis

Truck Art Project grows with two new works portraying contemporary youth as part of PHotoESPAÑA

Palibex is once again collaborating with the PHotoESPAÑA festival through the Truck Art Project, its mobile art collection. This year, the works of Luciana Demichelis and Jesús Madriñán will be displayed on two trucks operating in Madrid and Barcelona, continuing this unique initiative that transforms freight vehicles into mobile canvases for art and photography.

Palibex hosted a presentation event for these two new gallery-trucks, attended by both artists, PHotoESPAÑA director María Santoyo, and Palibex CEO Jaime Colsa. Colsa highlighted the continuity of this nearly decade-old project and its wide reach, made possible through collaboration with franchisees in the express freight network, allowing these artworks to travel across almost every region of the country.

The visual proposals by Argentine artist Luciana Demichelis and Galician analog portrait photographer Jesús Madriñán explore the emotional and social shifts affecting today’s youth. Their works present a generational portrait shaped by post-pandemic realities, economic crises, and widespread uncertainty.

As PHotoESPAÑA director María Santoyo explained, this theme aligns with the 2025 edition of the festival — titled “After Everything” — which focuses on photography as a critical and transformative tool to confront major global challenges, from historical memory and climate justice to gender identity and technological impact.

Within this framework, Truck Art Project renews its commitment to take art beyond conventional spaces, surprising audiences in unexpected places like the open road.

With these new truck interventions, Truck Art Project has now reached nearly forty vehicles — six of them added in this latest collaboration with PHotoESPAÑA. Last year’s featured artists included Bubi Canal, Manuela Lorente, Ana Palacios, and Tanit Plana, whose works now travel aboard Palibex trucks through Cantabria, Madrid, Valladolid, and Zaragoza.
